There are very few children’s foot and ankle surgery textbooks solely devoted to pediatric foot and ankle. Roger Mann and Myerson’s books do delve into pediatric surgery for the foot and ankle. But it is not the primary focus of their textbooks. When discussing textbooks solely devoted to surgery of the foot and ankle in pediatric cases, there are two textbooks to focus on.
One is Drennans Foot and Ankle– This is more of a review text, but is short on the surgery aspect of the textbook. However, it is still a quality textbook on the child’s foot and ankle.
But the latest entry to the field is Principles and Managment of Pediatric Foot and Ankle Disorders and Malformations. This textbook is current and rises to be the premier textbook for foot and ankle surgery. The graphics and pictures are superior to any other textbook on the market. If you are serious about surgery of the foot and ankle in pediatrics you need to have this textbook.
